safeTALK & SMPF– Increasing Our IMPACT!

The Sarah Michelle Peterson will be hosting a FREE community safeTALK training this Friday. To our delight, the training quickly sold out and we will be hosting more in the future! We are thrilled to share that in addition to getting community partners trained for FREE, we are also able to have a portion of our Board and volunteers become safeTALK trainers themselves! This is a huge opportunity for us to increase our impact as we will now add safeTALK to the menu of programs we offer! We could not achieve this without contributions from our wonderful donors. WE LOVE YOU!

If you’d like to be added to the list to be notified of upcoming trainings email: info@sarahmpetersonfoundation.org

More information on safeTALK below:

safeTALK is a half-day alertness training that prepares anyone 15 or older, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper. Most people with thoughts of suicide don’t truly want to die, but are struggling with the pain in their lives. Through their words and actions, they invite help to stay alive. safeTALK-trained helpers can recognize these invitations and take action by connecting them with life-saving intervention resources, such as caregivers trained in ASIST.
